Dear Staff, Facilitators and clients
Its 2016 and I can’t believe that we are settled into the new year already!
I therefore want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your dedication and commitment to CPT during this time, particularly as it has been an eventful 2015 for us all and we have had to encompass certain changes to the way we do things. I’m sure you’re all aware by now that the DAWN Group of Companies acquired a 49% stake in CPT from March 2015 and we are naturally excited about the way our future is mapping out. It has given us access to a whole new market for our Learnerships and Skills Programmes and we are adding to these offerings to accommodate their needs and requirements in other fields not usually associated with CPT too. It is with a certain sadness that we have had to close down our Diploma programme in the higher education field, which was our flagship for many years, but we simply could not enlist sufficient students to commit to three years of study and it therefore became unviable economically for us to continue with it.
I am also very proud of the two new awards CPT won in 2015; we were runners up in the category ‘Best Training Provider’ at the Skills Development Summit in August and last month it was announced that we were runners up in the South African Small Business Awards ‘National Business Champion’ category, both very prestigious achievements and gained in no small way by the enthusiasm, drive, commitment and dedication from both staff and facilitators to the way we do business. Over the past sixteen years or so we have secured ourselves as the preferred training provider to many of South Africa’s top manufacturing organisations, and, with your commitment, we will continue to provide new and existing clients with the quality education and training for which we have become known. Without you all CPT would not enjoy the reputation we have amongst our clients nor be the envy of many of our competitors, and so I say once again, a big thank you to each of you.
May you have a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy 2016.
