CPT was brought to life in 2000 when CEO Andy..

CPT was brought to life in 2000 when CEO Andy Greenwood realised that there was a need for industry specific technical training in South Africa. The Diploma in Production Technology at NQF Level 6 was CPT’s flagship qualification that produced a number of Production and Operations Managers through-out the years, many of which advanced to management positions as a result of their qualifications at CPT. CPT was soon inandated with requests to branch out its offerings in the technical and other industries and as a result now offers Learnerships from NQF Levels 1 to 5 in a variety of industries in South Africa. Throughout the years CPT has received great feedback from its clients and when CPT received the dti Business Award for Parnership and Collaboration in 2003, Andy could not have been prouder. Since then CPT has added to its awards, adding two Achiever Awards for Best Training Programme by a Small Company (2012 and 2013), runner up of the Achiever Award: Best Training Provider 2015 (overall) as well as runner up for the Small Business Champion 2015.

CPT only employs the best lecturers who have many years of experience in their respective industries ensuring our learners receive not only academic but also practical knowledge. Another element that sets CPT apart from the rest is that we’re able to contextualise and adapt our courses to our clients’ specific industries – this way the company is able to encorporate their individual processes into the material and the workplace and classroom becomes one.

Andy Greenwood here with his son Chris, who has been Andy’s right hand man since the birth of CPT.  Chris was appointed as Managing Director when Dawn HR and CPT merged.
